Depression & Anxiety

The hidden secret you don’t talk about but is affecting your relationships, your parenting, and how you feel throughout the day, is the depression or anxiety with which you continuously struggle.  Many of the people that suffer from depression and anxiety usually like to keep this secret to themselves and choose to deal with it on their own.  Maybe to you, it’s not a secret, but your partner thinks that you should “get over yourself” or “just stop worrying”.  Those that have depression and anxiety sometimes get complaints about how they are irritable or unpleasant.  It is also common to have difficulty sleeping.  Depression and Anxiety show physical symptoms that relate closely to your appetite as well.  You may notice that some days you are famished, while other days you can’t even stomach the thought of eating.  At Grace Counseling, our thoroughly experienced team works to support you as you find that new pathway to enjoy watching your children play, eating well, and sleeping comfortably.  We do this by tapping into the things you are already good at as well as the activities that you like to do.

We start our approach by identifying the things you care about and how you want to be the best you can be.  Identifying these feelings and activities are a fantastic way to put yourself on the right track to building the life that you want to live and help you become the best version of yourself.  There won’t be any time that we dismiss concerns that you may have or move faster than you are ready to move.  We want to be the ones that are able to help you on your journey to happiness by giving you the tools and the support to remove the cement boots and racing heart from your day-to-day life.
